We work closely with our clients to ensure each and every job is carefully estimated and each of our clients will know exactly what to expect from start to finish. Every consultation, estimate, and contract will include at a minimum the following information as required by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR):
- Project start and approximate finish date,
- Up front cost estimate, including amounts required for down payment and payments required as the project progresses,
- A list of all required materials and work to be performed,
- A “plain-language” explanation that certain events beyond our control may cause delays not included with the original time estimate and that we are not abandoning the project due to these circumstances,
- Assurance that we will comply with all local requirements for building permits, inspections, and zoning,
- Disclosure of the cancellation rights of the parties,
- If work is solicited through door-to-door marketing, we will provide you with the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation’s statement of protection and ask you to acknowledge receipt,
- We will provide you with our current business name, address, license number, expiration date, class of license, and classifications or specialty services,
- If at any time during the project, a change in time, cost, or project requirements are needed, we will provide this to you in writing and ask you to acknowledge receipt.
